Content Warning is a cooperative online multiplayer horror friendslop game developed and published by Landfall Publishing, first released on April 1, 2024 on Steam for Windows PC. In the game, teams of up to four players work together to explore a vast, dark underground environment known as the “Old World,” encountering monsters, cursed relics, and procedurally generated ruins. The game blends survival‑horror exploration with video recording mechanics, tasking players with filming spooky or chaotic moments as a group and bringing the footage back to the surface to upload to a fictional platform called SpöökTube, where views and ad revenue determine success.

Players begin in a surface area where they can customize their characters—such as changing ASCII‑style facial expressions—and prepare gear before descending into the Old World via a diving bell. Once inside, they must manage limited resources like oxygen and camera battery while coordinating with friends to capture valuable footage of monsters and events. After a run, teams return to the surface to upload recordings and earn in‑game rewards that can be spent on gear upgrades, cosmetic items, and island enhancements. Each campaign spans a three‑day cycle in which the team must reach a views quota to continue their SpöökTube career; failure resets progress.

The game’s mechanics encourage communication and cooperation among players as they balance risk and reward, plan dives together, and share the experience of recording and reviewing videos as a team.
