Among Us is a multiplayer social deduction game developed by InnerSloth, designed for cooperative and competitive play with friends (“friendslop”). In each match, players take on the roles of Crewmates or Impostors aboard a spaceship, space station, or other settings. Crewmates work together to complete tasks, while Impostors try to eliminate them without being detected. The game’s core mechanics revolve around discussion, observation, and voting during emergency meetings to identify and remove Impostors.
Players can create private matches, allowing friends to join with a unique room code, or join public matches to play with others online. The game supports cross-platform play across PC, mobile devices, and consoles, making it possible to coordinate and play with friends regardless of their device. Its simple controls, minimalistic graphics, and variety of maps make it easy for groups to set up matches quickly, and customizable game settings allow players to adjust the number of Impostors, tasks, and discussion times to suit their group’s preferences.
